It all began with a flip chart, a pen and an abundance of ideas
Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community is celebrating it’s 5th birthday on 21st July 2010
The site humble beginings can be traced back to a meeting of amdram enthusiasts in 2002 who were keen to develop a new home for all things Amdram, Amateur Theatre, Amateur Drama and Amateur Dramatics related.
It was felt that the internet had great potential as a means of furthering the support and appreciation for all things Amdram, Amateur Theatre, Amateur Dramatics and Amateur Drama related on a truly global level. The collection of ideas began and soons the scale of the task at hand became apparent.
It was only after many months of refining and priorising ideas that development began on the site we know today as Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community.
What does the future hold for Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community?
Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community is run by Simon Culshaw in his spare time and is financially supported by its generous advertisers.
Simon Culshaw – Editor
Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community has always been a labour of love for me and will continue to be so for many years to come.
I don’t have quite as much time as I would like to add to and enhance the site but having a job with long hours, a house requiring renovation and Amdram.net | Amateur Theatre Community brings its own challenges!
I’m hoping we can gain more support from advertisers such that we can finance new initiatives and provide more and more effective services to our members and visitors.
I hope you enjoy your visit to the site today, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions then please contact us.
